About Morrinsville Football Club

Established in 1972, Morrinsville Associated Football Club (MAFC). What started as a small grassroots competition has grown into a thriving club serving hundreds of players across all age groups every season.

We are a proud member of WaiBOP Football, one of six regional bodies under New Zealand Football (NZF). This connection ensures our players compete in well-organised competitions spanning the Waikato region and beyond.

Our History

Since our founding in 1972, Morrinsville Football Club has been a cornerstone of winter sport in the Matamata-Piako district. Over the decades the club has grown year by year, adding new age grades, girls-only competitions and senior teams as our community has expanded.

Today we field teams across First Kicks, mixed junior grades (7th–13th), girls-only grades, and senior men's and women's competitions — reflecting the diversity and passion for football in our region.

How the Club is Run

MAFC is run entirely by volunteers. The committee includes a President, Secretary, Treasurer, Grants & Funding Coordinator, Junior Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Groundsman and All Rounder Committee Memebers — all giving their time freely to keep the club operating each season.

Committee meetings are held monthly at the club rooms and are open to all members. Contact us to confirm the next meeting date.
