Is there an initial muster or information day?

Our Muster Day is the 28th of Feb for 2026.

Are there training sessions for junior teams?

Training sessions times will vary and are determined by the coach of the team for a weekday afternoon between 3:30pm and 6pm.    Training typically starts in April when Morrinsville Football fields become available from cricket, and once all all junior football teams and coaches are confirmed.

What equipment is needed for football?

The club will supply each player with a game-day playing jersey and players need to provide the following items.

• Pair of plain black shorts
• Pair of plain black socks
• Shin pads
• Football Boots
• Ball
• 5 - 8th grade: Size 3
• 9 - 13th grade: Size 4
• 14th grade: Size 5

What days and times are games played?

Junior Football 8th Grade (8 Years Old) is played on Saturday mornings with kick off starting from 9am to 11:30am for most teams.  

First Kicks (ages 4 turning 5, 6 and 7 Year Olds) will play 3.45 - 4.45pm Tuesday. 

First Kicks do not travel. Played at Morrinsville Rec. Grounds.

How far travel might be throughout the season?

First Kicks, in 5th to 7th grade will play in our local competition. First Kicks do not travel. Played at Morrinsville Rec. Grounds.

Fun and Youth fooball from 8th to 14th grade play in the wider WaiBOP competition for the Waikato region, which included teams from the below venues, as an example from the 2023 season.
